Q How long must we reside in Scotland?

Q. How much notice must be given to secure a Ceremony?
A. We recommend 4 weeks, but it is possible to complete the legalities in 16 days.

Q. What is the cost of a Minister?
A. Around £90-100 (this fee is not included in any of the packages)
Q. How much is the Marriage licence fee?
A. £58.50 per couple (this fee is not included in any of the packages and is subject to change)
Q. Can we marry on a Sunday?
A. Yes, you can marry on any day of the week.
Q. Do we need witnesses?
A. Yes, you need two, but we can provide them.
Q. My partner is divorced, will a Minister still marry us?
Yes.
Please note:
- The Marriage schedule must be collected in person by either the future Bride or Groom. This can be done on any day within 7 days prior to the Wedding.
- The Registration Office is closed on Sundays, Mondays and some Bank Holiday weekends. Therefore couples marrying on a Sunday or Monday would have to collect the schedule no later than the Saturday prior.
